Grand Cayman April 18-25, 2015

Come dive with us! Rooms are going fast!

On April 18, 2015, Global Reef Roamers traveled to Grand Cayman. Although this is not the first time we have visited the island, it is our first time on the west end and this trip was quite different than others. On our first trip to Grand Cayman in 2010, Tim and I met Vanessa and James. We became fast and forever friends. Vanessa had been diagnosed with breast cancer and had recently recovered from her final round of chemotherapy. It was a new year and they were celebrating this success and happy to get back into the water. Vanessa was strong/healthy/happy and we had a great time diving with them. Little did we know that she would be diagnosed again

We stayed at Cobalt Coast located on the Northwest shore of Grand Cayman in a secluded tranquil setting with spectacular views of the inviting waters of the Caribbean Sea. Our dive operation was Divetech which located on site at Cobalt. Divetech is well known and has been deemed a award-winning dive operator voted the #1 scuba diving resort in the Caribbean by Rodale’s Scuba Diving Magazine readers. Readers voted the resort and dive staff as the #1 in the world!

Our package included 7 nights lodging in ocean view room, tax and service charge, daily breakfast, 6 days of 2-tank boat dives with unlimited shore diving at Divetech’s 2 locations, Guardian of the Reef shore dive @ Lighthouse Point, airport transfers and a welcome cocktail.

Although Meal plans and All-Inclusive plans were available, we chose to decline due to meal and food options offered.
